Poodle Puppy Sales Contract

This contract is made between the Breeder and the Buyer for the purchase of one (1) purebred Poodle puppy. Both parties agree to the following terms and conditions:

1. Terms of Sale

The Breeder agrees to sell, and the Buyer agrees to purchase, one purebred Poodle puppy at the total cost of $550. A non-refundable deposit is required to secure the puppy. The remaining balance must be paid in full before the puppy is picked up or delivered to the Buyer.

2. Health Assurance

The Breeder affirms that the puppy is in good physical health at the time of transfer, and has received age-appropriate vaccinations and deworming.

a. The Buyer agrees to have the puppy examined by a licensed veterinarian within 72 hours of receiving the puppy. If the veterinarian identifies a serious congenital illness or defect, the puppy may be returned with a written report for either a full refund or a replacement puppy of equal value.

b. The Breeder offers a one-year health guarantee covering major hereditary conditions, including congenital heart defects or liver-related issues. This must be confirmed by two separate, licensed veterinarians, after which a replacement puppy of equal value will be offered.

c. Should the puppy be diagnosed with a communicable illness within seven (7) days of arrival—supported by veterinary documentation—the Buyer may return the puppy for a refund or a replacement.

3. Pickup and Delivery

Should the Buyer request shipping, all transportation and delivery expenses are the sole responsibility of the Buyer. The Breeder agrees to use a reputable, insured pet transport service. In-person pickup is welcome but must be scheduled in advance. Full payment must be completed prior to pickup.

4. Payment Terms

The puppy’s full price must be paid in full before release or shipment. Accepted payment methods include cash, bank transfer, or another approved form of payment. The deposit is non-refundable, unless the Breeder cannot provide the puppy as agreed.

5. Buyer’s Obligations

The Buyer agrees to provide the puppy with a clean, safe, and loving environment. The puppy should be housed primarily indoors, have access to fresh water and a nutritious diet, and receive routine veterinary care, including vaccinations and parasite control. If the Buyer is no longer able to care for the puppy, they must notify the Breeder. The Breeder retains the first right to take the puppy back or assist in rehoming. Declawing is unnecessary and not appropriate for this breed.

6. Entire Agreement

This contract constitutes the complete and binding agreement between the Breeder and the Buyer. Any modifications or additions to this agreement must be documented in writing and agreed upon by both parties.
